As a Security Professional - Industrial Patrols in SAN JOSE, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a leading manufacturing and industrial location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for employees and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents as needed, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and a professional demeanor. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards to help maintain a secure environment.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.

• Availability across various days and shifts
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
