We are a forward-thinking CPA firm seeking a dedicated Seasonal Tax Preparer , with a strong background in individual (1040) and/or business tax returns (1065, 1120S). Position Summary:
As a Seasonal Tax Preparer , you will handle a diverse range of tax preparation responsibilities for individual and business clients. This seasonal role requires a commitment to peak tax season hours, with additional part-time opportunities throughout the year. We value accuracy, professionalism, and a client-focused attitude.
Duties:
• Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals (1040) and/or businesses (1065, 1120S).
• Ensure compliance with the latest tax regulations.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address tax-related questions.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the tax preparation process.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing tax returns for at least 50 clients per season.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax rules, regulations, and practices.
• Familiarity with UltraTax software (preferred but not required).
• High attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
• Reliable internet connection and comfort with remote work tools (if working remotely).
Work Schedule:
• Peak Season (February–April 15th): 40–50 hours/week.
• Post-Peak Season (April 16th–May 31st): 20–25 hours/week.
• Additional part-time hours available depending on firm needs.
• Overtime hours will be compensated.
Compensation:
• $30-80/hr
