The Material Handler 3 would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full-time / 40+ hours per week.

Material Handler 3 Compensation

• The pay for this position is $18.45 per hour 
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Material Handler 3 Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:30am
• Location: Sparks, MD

Material Handler 3 Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking, labeling, and packaging
• Operate RF devices to complete warehouse transactions and maintain inventory accuracy
• Palletize orders for shipment and operate shrink wrap machines as needed
• Transport pallets using material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts or reach trucks
• Perform inbound and outbound shipment handling using ERP and WMS systems
• Load/unload shipments safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Maintain compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and safety protocols
• Assist with dock manifest duties, inventory movement, and documentation for domestic/international shipments
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment
• May participate in cross-training and act as a backup for other warehouse roles
• Maintain certifications and training in accordance with company standards, including Hazmat and MHE operation

Material Handler 3 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of relevant material handling/warehouse experience preferred
• Forklift Certification required (experience with order pickers, reach trucks, dock stockers, counterbalance trucks, etc.)
• Experience operating Voice/RF scanner and using ERP/WMS systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
• Good verbal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret warehouse documentation
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions, including bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

• General knowledge of distribution operations and supply chain processes
• Prior experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Hazmat training (or willingness to complete it)
