Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Medical Collection expert to join our dynamic team! This role is a full-time position responsible for collection processes for our IG division with remote work from home.

The perfect candidate should have Physician Office Infusion Experience , outstanding communication skills, an in-depth knowledge of collection practices, work in compliance with Federal and State rules, regulations, and policy related to billing and collection activities. The ideal candidate should also understand contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management and appeal process. CPR + experience is a Plus.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for collecting payments from insurance companies, patients, or other responsible parties for medical services rendered. This role involves sending out patient statements, manufacturer assistance plans, printing claims, and opening mail in the office. The position also requires managing receivables for multiple payor types and reaching out to patients regarding their balances. This is a hybrid position requiring one day of work at our Dallas location, with other days remote from home.

Education And Experience

• A high school diploma or GED is required; bachelors degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of healthcare industry experience required.
• 1-3 years of medical billing and collections experience required.
• Home Infusion, IG experience preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Recognize patients rights and responsibilities and support them in job duties; respect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Verify billing accounts with accounts receivable ledger to ensure payments are properly posted.
• Make calls to troubleshoot payment discrepancies and resolve aged receivables.
• Document calls, including phone number, person spoken to, and call details.
• Maximize reimbursement of claims.
• Resolve issues causing denials within 5 days of receipt.
• Make judgment calls regarding adjustments and refunds.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, medical terminology, billing procedures, regulations, and codes.
• Share knowledge with team members and work collaboratively.
• Interact positively, respectfully, and considerately with others.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of medical insurance collections.
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
