Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates must have 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience; home infusion experience is preferred. Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. AIC is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection expert to join our dynamic team! This full-time role involves contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing-related issues with insurance companies or other responsible parties for services rendered. The position can be remote, or if local to the DFW area, work from the office is an option. The ideal candidate should possess outstanding communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with Federal and State billing and collection regulations. Education and Experience: ~ A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. ~3-5 years of healthcare industry experience. ~3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience. ~ Home infusion experience is preferred. ~ CPR and CareTend experience are a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Respect patient rights and confidentiality, supporting them in their job duties. Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment and escalate issues as needed. Evaluate payments and denials for correctness and apply them accordingly. Identify bad debts and AR adjustments; initiate write-offs and adjustments per policies. Investigate overpayments or duplicate payments and resolve them. Process refund requests following policies. Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary patient or insurance information. Understand all procedures within regulatory mandates. Ensure collection activities comply with Federal, State, and payer regulations. Verify billing accounts against the AR ledger for accuracy. Troubleshoot payment discrepancies and resolve issues. Document all communication details consistently. Maximize claim reimbursement opportunities. Resolve denial issues within 5 days of receipt. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and relevant medical codes. Share knowledge with team members and promote a positive work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions. Good judgment and problem-solving skills within laws and regulations. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Integrity and credibility. Knowledge of HIPAA privacy guidelines. Proficiency with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding and medical terminology. Leadership ability and adaptability to change. Effective communication with patients, staff, and providers. Organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed. Ability to train and lead staff, prioritize tasks, and handle complex problems. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under interruptions.
